Children's Miracle Network is an international non-profit organization dedicated to helping children by raising funds and awareness for 170 children's hospitals throughout North America. Each year these non-profit hospitals treat more than 14 million children afflicted with diseases, injuries and birth defects of every kind.

Children's Miracle Network's founding pledge to put children first in all it does and keep 100 percent of donations in the community where they were raised remains at the core of its philosophy. Yet Children's Miracle Network has grown dramatically since its founding in 1983, when its first televised fund raiser aired from a small private studio and raised $4.7 million for hospitals.

In just 18 years Children's Miracle Network has evolved into the dominant organization actively providing better health care for millions of children through its 170 affiliated hospitals. In addition to producing the largest television fund raiser in the world, Children's Miracle Network organizes and executes thousands of special events and promotions each year through its dedicated corporate sponsors and media partners.

This tremendous year-round effort is helping to save and improve the lives of children with cancer, heart defects, diabetes, AIDS, muscular dystrophy, and accident trauma, to name a few. To date Children's Miracle Network has raised more than $2 billion for children's hospitals-$229 million in 2001 alone. But the need is still great; in just one year Children's Miracle Network hospitals provide charity care worth billions.

Children's Miracle Network and the RE/MAX organization match every bit as closely as their exuberant hot air balloon logos. Since RE/MAX became CMN's exclusive real estate sponsor in 1992, RE/MAX Associates have raised more than $38 million for the charity.

Founded in 1983, CMN generates health-care funds and awareness programs for the benefit of children. The nonprofit organization's 170 participating hospitals across North America help 17 million children annually. RE/MAX Associates raise funds for CMN in a variety of ways:

  • Pledging a contribution derived from each transaction involving a RE/MAX Miracle Home.
  • Staging fund-raising events - from parking-lot flea markets to minnow racing.
  • Handling the phones at CMN's annual television fund raising, the largest of its kind in the world.
